We don't know Children's Day!

The whole country celebrated Children's day today with lots of fun and frolic. But as responsible citizens lets spare a moment to think about the less fortunate children who are left ignored on their special day today.

Amidst all this pomp and glory lets not forget the real message Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru had given to the nation.
That is providing our children with a safe and loving environment to grow as well as giving them ample and equal opportunities through which they can take great strides and contribute to the progress of the nation. This Day serves as a reminder to each and every one of us, to renew our commitment to the welfare of children and teach them to live by their Chacha Nehru's standards and example.

I came across a UNICEF initiative "Awaaz Do " Movement--Speak up for every child's Right to Education.

Join this campaign, spread the word, make a difference!

Thanks Jnani for sparing a thought. I think we shouldn't blame everything on the govt. Lets do our bit

Our life has become like the "Term Test" concept, wherein write the exams & forget it for the rest of the year. Why do we remember such things at about 6 AM on that day, talk about it, curse, contemplate ... and MERRILY forget it and sleep (over it until the next 14 November).

You have brought out a good concept. These observances have become a 'one day celebration' thing now. We must try to change
