Mobile camp

MobileCamp

It was all technology in the air of IIM Bangalore campus yesterday. Source:Mobile camp, an un-conference for mobile applications, developers and enthusiasts.

This first ever program i attended of such kind. It was such an inspirational, enjoyable experience filled with knowledge. I was elated to be there in such an environment surrounded by geeks and mobile enthusiasts. A Beautifully organized program.

The theme of the day was Android Apps, the latest craze of the gadget loving country. Many ideas were presented, some which have already taken the "App" form and some still in the gestation stage.
Some of the interesting "Android Apps" , i liked in yesterday's session are
  • Heart Beat Counter- An App which easily gives your heart beat reading, with just a finger touch on the camera of your mobile
  • Bunk Bazar - A very innovative App which tells the students to bunk the classes intelligently maintaining their required attendance (developed by a college student)
  • TaazzaGO- A complete local information at your finger tips. This useful App, tells you about the discount sales, the restaurants, the latest movies released and a number of info in the nearest area where you stay
  • House Help - A unique handy App, helps you keep a tab on the daily household chores, milk, maids, paperman, cook and so on.
  • Financial Advisor - An App which monitors your spendings and savings
  • Coupon Dispenser - A very practical App which helps in managing your Sodexo like coupons
  • Tuk Tuk meter - Autorikshaw fare calculator App
  • Learn Kannada - A very useful App for non-Kannadigas to identify the signboards or writings in Kannada
  • Dhvani - A musical App for music lovers
My mind has already started working on the idea for an innovative and creative App. looking forward to more such Tech Programs. Thank you Molbile camp!
