Aero India Show 2011 Bangalore - Schedule


The breathtaking, astonishing, awesome, spectacular Air Show, "Asia's Premier Air Show", Aero India 2011 is here once again.

The AirForce Station, Yelahanka, Bangalore, is all decked up to host the 8th edition of India's biggest Air Show. The participating guests have arrived. More than 675 exhibitors from 60 countries will attend the airshow, compared to 592 exhibitors from 25 countries in 2009. The exhibitors include 380 Indian firms compared to 303 two years back.

Note the timings for general Visitors:
February 9, 2011 1400hrs to 1700hrs
February 10, 2011 1000hrs to 1700hrs
February 11, 2011 1000hrs to 1700hrs
February 12, 2011 1000hrs to 1700hrs
February 13, 2011 1000hrs to 1700hrs

Ticket Cost per person per day:

On weekdays - Rs.400/- or $15
On weekends - Rs 500/- or $20

Some highlights:
  • China, Pakistan and Iran have not been invited
  • The IAF’s newly acquired C-130J Super Hercules airlifters, capable of takeoffs and landings from unprepared runways, will debut at the airshow
  • The odd-one out at the airshow will be a Maruti 800 flying car, developed by a Bangalore-based aviation entusiast
  • Russian Mig-35 to skip the Air Show
  • Shahid Kapoor, who is playing the role of an Indian Air Force officer in his yet-to-be released movie 'Mausam', will be flying the F-16 at AeroIndia Feb 12
  • There will be flying display of several fighter aircraft. Among them are F-16s, American firm Boeing's F/A-18s, European consortium EADS' Eurofighter Typhoon and Swedish firm SAAB's Gripen aircraft.
